On Wednesday 4th June, we went to Dinozé to visit the American cemetery. The superintendent and a guide gave us a tour of the memorial. We started with an impressive mosaic depicting the Provence landing, also called Operation Dragoon. Then we discovered the walls of the missing and at last, we got closer to the burial site and had a little search exercise. We had to find information on a particular soldier.
This was a really immersive experience and the site was breathtaking with its perfectly manicured lawn and its vivid flowers.
